I really would like to know which is better. I want to know how much calories I’m burning when I exercise so that’s my main concern. I have no idea really and just make estimates due to whatever is written or what others say who do the same ones. But sometimes I can’t find anything on it. It would be a lot more motivating to exercise if I knew.

Which one would be better or are there any other options that would tell me how much caloreis I burnt? I’ve been researching them online and the only reason I don’t like the Bodybugg is because it’s so expensive but it seems better than the Heart rate monitor. though I don’t know which is more accurate? I never used any so all help is appreciated :)

A question for Curves Fitness Club Members~?

When you are working out at Curves, is your heart rate goal to be in the yellow, green or blue. I sometimes go to different curves clubs to work out & each one has a different answer on where your heart rate should be. Does anyone know the right answer?

Heart rate monitor?

I’m looking for a heart rate monitor that I’m not sure exists. I want a strapless model that continulously measures my heart rate (I’m not sure if this can even be achieved) that has a pedometer, calories burned and can be worn as a watch. I could deal with it not measuring my heart rate continulously if it gave me an accurate calorie count, but I don’t want to wear a strap.

PLEASE HELP ME I don't know what is happening?

I need an answer ever since I was young I could make myself feel very strange like a force us pushing me down or like I was hollow and an energy inside me us bursting out of me a couple of people -new age types- have told methat I’m very powerful when I do it but that is irrelevant I’m not new agey but it scares me I can focus it around certain parts of my body and I’m going to experiment with various ways of controlling it but I need feedback or an answer PLEASE I’m still young and I’ve been doing it since I was about nine I bought a heart rate monitor and tried doing it and my Heart rate dropped very low very fast I can only describe it as sickly sweet as I cant bear to do it for more than a minute or two. PLEASE help I don’t know what the he’ll is going on and no stupid comments please this is serious

I am having some angina today, and have used it four times, twice this morning, twice earlier this evening 30 minutes apart. Also a little arrythmia based on a heart rate monitor jumping around some.

HR steady now 30 minutes later, at 78, which is a touch high.
Seemed to work within 5 minutes. But used it again about 30 minutes later, and still getting some recurring light pains every 10-20 minutes.

Good collaterals, so serious heart attack not very likely.

Previous 3x CABG, lots of minor blockages not stentable..

Can a fetal heart monitor be used on dogs?

If so how early can a fetal hearbeat be picked up? What is the best way to position it on the dog to pick up a fetal heartbeat, and what should the heart rate be? It is a digital fetal doppler.
Not my dog. She is only 25 days or so since the breeding and they are not going to do an ultrasound, just an XRay if she looks to have taken. I thought it would be fun to see if we can pick up a heartbeat.

I want to know that, would be great if you could link some wites that have some info on the accuracies and inaccuracies of the BMI system.

Is BMI misleading? why?

I have been seing peiople doing some tests on BMI lately, one particular on ei saw was someone who had graphed BMI compared to Blood pressure, heart rates, lung capacites, resting hear rates etc.

I would seem to think that these results would be rather inaccurate considering that BMI does not take into account Fat compared to muscle?

please explain why a test liek this would be accurate/inaccurate and any other things that could compromise the accuracy in any way of this experiment.

Don’t ask me why, but I like to take a hot sauna ( I have a dry/wet portable sauna ), and using a heart rate monitor get my heart rate up to 150-160 range and dunk my entire body into a soaker tub that’s been cooled down with ice.

I dunk my entire body and hold my breath and my heart rate will go quickly down into the 30-40′s and seems like I can hold my breath for ever!

That really seems to envigorte me and give me a lot of energy for the rest of the day.

What is it that I’m doing? Why does it seem to make me feel so good?

I’m 53 years old healthy male that exercize daily at least 45minutes a day with a resting heart rate of 50-60.

Fitness suggestions for pregnancy?

My husband and I joined a gym before we got pg. I want to keep using the membership since it’s expensive, but my dr. told me not to lift any more than 20 pounds. I forgot to ask about heart rate. Can I do the treadmill/elliptical/ bike and really sweat, or do I have to keep myself at a lower heart rate now? I’m trying to gain no more than 15-20 pounds during my pregnancy since I’m starting out a little heavy. Thanks for any suggestions!

Heart Rate – What is Normal?

OK, so we have this exercise machine. I think it’s called a Glider, but I’m not positive. Basically, it has two foot pedals that you walk on, and the pedals are connected to bars that you grip with your hands, so you pump both your arms and your legs while using it.

In any case, the point is, it has an EKG monitor attached to it. After using the machine nonstop for about 20 minutes, I checked it, and it said my heart rate was 142.

Is this number good, bad, normal? Should I be concerned?
What would be FANTASTIC range?
